Unique History (E):
The unique history of Batur Village is related to the existence of Mount Batur. The forerunner of Mount Batur was taken from the top of Mount Mahameru on the island of Java by order of Bhatara Hyang Pasupati who is resides in the Mount Mahameru. Mount Batur is believed to be the embodiment of Lingga Yoni, none other than the embodiment of Lord Shiva's Lingga Acala (immovable lingga), while Lake Batur as Yoni is a symbol of Lord Shiva's Sakti, in this case is Dewi Parwati. Lake Batur and Pura Ulun Danu Batur are places that provide protection and prosperity for the island of Bali itself and of course will always provide prosperity for the Balinese people throughout the ages.

Sejarah unik dari Desa Batur yaitu terkait dengan keberadaan Gunung Batur. Cikal bakal Gunung Batur diambil dari puncak Gunung Mahameru yang terdapat di Pulau Jawa atas perintah Bhatara Hyang Pasupati yang bersemayam di atas Gunung Mahameru. Gunung Batur diyakini merupakan perwujudan Lingga Yoni, yang tak lain merupakan perwujudan Lingga Acala (lingga tak tergoyahkan) Dewa Siwa, sedangkan Danau Batur sebagai Yoni merupakan simbol Sakti-Nya Dewa Siwa dalam hal ini ialah Dewi Parwati. Danau Batur dan Pura Ulun Danu Batur merupakan tempat yang memberikan perlindungan dan kemakmuran terhadap Pulau Bali itu sendiri dan tentunya akan selalu memberikan kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat Bali sepanjang masa.
