UNIQUE HISTORY (E)

The name of Kerta Village is sourced from the story of the holy journey of Ida Rsi Markandiya. During his trip in the Payangan area, he finally arrived at a place that is still a wilderness. In the wilderness, his followers grabbed the forest to become an agricultural area, but all of his followers were attacked by a plague, so Rsi Markandiya meditated to pray to ask for his followers to be healed. After his followers recovered, at his place he begged for salvation, was given the name "Alas Angker", and now stands a temple with the name "Alas Angker Temple". The area around this temple turned out to be very suitable as an agricultural area, everything that was planted or cultivated by Rsi Markandiya followers could grow well so that Rsi Markandiya and his followers could live in prosperity. Because the area gave a prosperous life to his followers, the area was given the name "Kertha", which means "Prosperous".

SEJARAH UNIK(I)

Nama Desa Kerta bersumber dari kisah perjalanan suci Ida Rsi Markandiya. Selama perjalanannya di daerah Payangan, ia akhirnya sampai di suatu tempat yang masih berupa hutan belantara. Di hutan belantara, para pengikutnya merampas hutan untuk dijadikan lahan pertanian, namun semua pengikutnya diserang wabah, sehingga Rsi Markandiya bersemedi untuk berdoa memohon kesembuhan bagi para pengikutnya. Setelah pengikutnya sembuh, di tempatnya ia memohon keselamatan, diberi nama “Alas Angker”, dan kini berdiri sebuah candi dengan nama “Candi Alas Angker”. Daerah di sekitar pura ini ternyata sangat cocok sebagai daerah pertanian, segala sesuatu yang ditanam atau dibudidayakan oleh pengikut Rsi Markandiya dapat tumbuh dengan baik sehingga Rsi Markandiya dan pengikutnya dapat hidup sejahtera. Karena daerah tersebut memberikan kehidupan yang sejahtera bagi para pengikutnya, maka daerah tersebut diberi nama “Kertha”, yang artinya “Sejahtera”.

Kerta Village located in the Payangan sub-district, Gianyar regency is a rural area in the middle of Bali Island, bordering Kintamani, Bangli regency. We can get this village by motorcycle, car, bus or minibus, the access to this village is very good that makes it easy to visit.

Desa Kerta yang terletak di Kecamatan Payangan, Kabupaten Gianyar adalah sebuah kawasan pedesaan di tengah Pulau Bali, berbatasan dengan Kintamani, Kabupaten Bangli. Desa ini bisa kita dapatkan dengan menggunakan sepeda motor, mobil, bus atau minibus, akses menuju desa ini sangat baik sehingga memudahkan untuk dikunjungi.

Desa Kerta memiliki potensi alam berupa pertanian, selain itu juga terdapat potensi alam lainnya seperti air terjun, hutan bambu, dan sungai. Potensi pertanian desa ini seperti; perkebunan jeruk, perkebunan kopi, perkebunan bunga potong, dan persawahan. Desa ini juga merupakan situs sejarah berupa sarkofagus, Pura Alas Angker dan tradisi unik berupa sistem kepemimpinan “Ulu Apad” Bali Aga.
